Woodpecker visits Denview

We got our first woodpecker visitor today (11.11.10) to the new bird feeding station.  A new feeding station was positioned in front of the livingroom window so that we could get a much closer look at out feathered visitors.

Armistice Day 2010

A poppy was laid at the site of the plane crash on Gallow Hill today at 11am.  The poppy was attached to the memorial to Flt. Sgt. Kenneth G Mayne who was killed on 23 June 1945 when his Mk.1 Anson aircraft crashed in poor visibility.

Crash Site Visit

Just a reminder that there is to be a visit to the plane crash site on Gallow Hill tomorrow, Wednesday 23 June, leaving Denview at 7pm.

The purpose is to put up a small memorial to the unfortunate pilot, F/Sgt Kenneth Mayne who died there on 23 June 1945.

There will be drinks at Denview after.
