The snow-plough that was charged with clearing the snow drifts from Dryburn Brae had to be rescued after the snow-plough left the road and ended up in the ditch at the roadside.  The plough became stuck in the ditch near the top of the brae around 3pm and it took a large JCB to dig the snowplough out and tow it back onto the road.  Eventually, the snowplough was freed around 10pm.
